THE NORTH Shore
Neighborhood House,
back in the news with
the findings of a Labor
Relations Board  hear-
ing this week, has turn-
ed around the financial
situation that helped
put it in front of the
IRB in the first place.

“We've still got a way to
go but at least we're going in
the right) direcuuon,’’ said
Doug Sabourin this week of
the financial situation at the
house.

Since spring when the
Neighborhood House laid
off three employees, the ser-
vice’s deficit has been cut
trom $60,000 to $30,000 that
is ‘‘being whittled down
monthly’*. More important
ly, says Sabourin, the house
has ‘‘moved back into the
community’’ through better
marketting and better accep-
tance of its programs
