WEST VANCOUVER rediscovers its sense of
community this weekend as the annual West
Vancouver Community Day festivities unfold.

Organizers have laid out Sunday, the MV

Events Saturday include
the traditional parade, a free
fishing derby for the young,
a non-competitive fun run
for the fit and a full range of
fund events throughout the
day at the West Van Rec
Centre.

Sunday will feature the
three-hour cruise aboard the
MV Hollyburn which
formerly plied the waters of
the harbor as a ferry, with
entertainment and informed
commentary on _ historic
spots along the route.

Community Day events —
this year with the theme
Circus Circus — get under
way at 8 a.m_ sharp on
Saturday with the fun run
from Pauline Johnson

which runs until noon, starts
