THE Seymour River
Hatchery is hosting its
annual open house on
Oct. 1.

The Seymour Salmonid
Society is a community-
based organization dedicated
to salmon enhancement. The
society has several hundred
members and volunteers.

In addition to the opera-
tien of a fish hatchery che
society strives to:

@ increase public awareness

of the needs and benefits of

the fisheries resource;

B create and restore habitats
for fish in the Seymour River
systent;

@ provide a unique hands-on
educational program for stu-

dents.

The hatchery rears
