Don Kavanagh was acclaimed as the Liberal candidate in North Vancouver-Capilano on Saturday afternoon. About 45 people turned out to the nomination meeting, which was held at the North Shore Lib- fF eral activity centre. The 43-year-old Kavanagh is involved in construction management and design and has lived on the North Shore for nine years. He has been president of the North Vancouver-Ca pilane riding for the past year. Pleased with his acclamat.on, Kavanagh said the meeting was unexpectedly enthusiastic and well attended. “It’s a good sign. | think the people here are ready for a change. We need a new voice ir i this riding, especially with the predicted Social Credit landslide.
