House stages Indian photo show OLD PASCUA: A Yaqui In- dian Village is -a photographic exhibition by Lorne: Greenberg, documen- ting changes in Yaqui Indian material culture and spiritual identity resulting from an ur- ban renewal project.in, Tuc- son, Arizona. The show runs from March 28 to April 28 at Presentation House. Greenberg, a. Canadian- born photographer, has studied and worked in the area for five years. Much of his time has been. spent documenting Yaqui life and “eulture, specifically as it reveals itself in the village neighbourhood of Old Pascua, which since 1978 has undergone a transformation through the ‘‘Pascua Housing Rehabilitation Project.” Greenberg’s fascination has been with the Yaqui’s ability to preserve the con- tinuity of their identity, bas- ed on the “ritual relationship _ between the household and the church."” . The exhibition at Presenta- tion House will consist of ap- proximately 69 ‘photographs - cibachrome contact prints and enlargements, and black & white contact prints - plus several maps and historical introductory panels. .
