self regulating and

air. No excess water is sprayed
onto carpets, walls or
draperies. Air is fed only

- Inadequate clothes drying is
"a problem that usually can be
— easily rectified. Tackle the pro-
= biem in the following order:
1 Isthe drum being overload-
ed? If so, clothes will not dry
as they should. Consult the
manual as to manufacturer’s
recommendations re-loading.
2 Are the clothes sopping wet
when they are put in the dryer?
Then the washing machine is
at fault, not the dryer. Clothes
coming out of the washing
machine should be damp not
ae us wet. :

i replace if necessary.
S Has the lint built up to a
critical stage? This is a primary
cause of clothes not being
dried as they should. Unhook
the vent pipe and thoroughly
clean right to the dryer con-
nection.
6 Make sure the joints in the
vent pipe are tightly sealed
with duct tape.

Cutting Energy Costs
Reduce hot water thermostat
to 140° F if you have a
dishwasher, otherwise set at
120°F.

Save 10% of fuel costs by
reducing thermostat 5°F bet-
ween 11 p.m. and 7 a.m.
