Registration for'the competition is now taking place at Capilano Mall until Aug..29 or all spaces are filled, whichever comes first. The local competition will be held Sept. 8 to II. Youths between the ages of 13 and 18 can register in one of three performance categories: solo, duo or group. The judging criteria are musicality, choreography, tech- nique and performance. ‘Local ‘winners will be videotaped for judging by Tox/ ‘Sony-recording artist Mitsou and a pane} of dance professionals. The celebrity judges will deter- mine the top three solos, duos and groups from across Canada, who will get their chance to dance at the national finals, being broad- cast live on MuchMusic’s Electric Circus on Friday, Nov. 26.
