Thinking of Christinas

The calendar turns to Christinas once more,

With festive displays and gifts in each store.
Children are talking of Santa and all,

As lyrics of carols ring out in the mall.

Rain, sleet and snow whistle round on the wind
And Christinas rush traffic will shortly begin.
Hustle and bustle, we race to and fro,

Sometimes forgetting those days long ago -

When Christmas was inagic, a family affair,

"In hopes that Saint Nicholas soon would be there”.
Home for the holidays, each daughter and son,
Wrapping the presents was part of the fun.
Midnight's church service celebrated "the birth",
And everyone prayed for peace here on earth.
Bring back the magic; life should be more fun.
Let's get those “bah, humbug” blues on the run.
My wish for you is health, wealth and good cheer,
Not just for now but throughout the New Year!
