Hot computers THE NORTH Vancouver RCMP recovered an estimated $300,000 worth of stolen business computers June 24. Police were tipped off to the haul after a Blockwatch program member reported “suspicious activity” in the 100-block of West Sth Street. Police found stolen computers in a vehicle bearing a stolen rear ilcence plate. The car owner was arrested for possessing stolen property and later released, according to a North Vancouver RCMP apokesman. The computers in the car were discovered to be from a recent commercial burglary. Two North Shore residences were subsequently searched where, police say, $250,000 to $300,009 worth of stolen computers were recovered. The computers were traced to various commercia! burglaries throughout the Lower Mainiand. Also recovered were stolen artwork and native arti- facts.
