Many species of house flies
leave a brown residue wherever
they land — over time a steady
population of flies in the home can
make an unsightly mess on walls,
ceilings and other surfaces.

Perspiration and body heat

makes people more attractive to
flies. In addition to warding off
more noted biting insects such as
mosquitoes, personal repellents that
contain DEET can be an effective
deterrent against biting stable flies.

Keeping trash cans well sealed
and pet: areas clean will minimize
fly populations. At farm properties,
proper manure management ts criti-
cal. ;
