THE FOLLOWING people ap-
peared in North and West Van-
couver provincial courts recently to
face various charges laid against
them.

Before Judge W.J. Diebolt in
North Vancouver provincial court
on May 12:

Joanne Clements was fined $200
after the 22-year-old North Van-
couver woman pleaded guilty to
driving without consideration for
others in connection with a Dec.
17, 1988 incident on the Upper
Levels Highway.

James Joseph George received a
suspended sentence and was placed
on probation for one year after the
49-year-old North Vancouver man
pleaded guilty to assaulting a fe-
male in connection with a March 9
incident.

Theodore Robert Walker receiv-
ed a conditional discharge and was
placed on probation for three
months after the 19-year-old North
Vancouver man pleaded guilty to
possessing marijuana in connection
with a Feb. 3 drug seizure.

As a term of his probvation,
Walker was ordered to pay a $100
fine within 30 days.

Before Judge J.K. Shaw in North
Vancouver provincial court on
May 12:

Brent Anthony Miotto was fin-
ed $1,500 after the 19-year-old
Vancouver man was found guilty
of driving while he was prohibited
to do so.

Before Judge J.B. Paradis in
North Vancouver provincial court

Dwayn Walter Bopfinger was
fined $150 and placed on proba-
tion for six months after the 23-
year-old North Vancouver man
pleaded guilty to theft under
$1,000 in connection with a March
29 incident in which groceries were
stolen from Canada Safeway Ltd.
