recently to face various charges
laid against them.

Before Judge E.J. Cronin in North
Vancouver provincial court on
March 14:

Robert Marsland was fined $500
and placed on probation for one
year after the 22-year-old North
Vancouver man pleaded guilty to
assaulting another male in connec-
tion with a Sept. 29, 1988 incident.

Laurentiu Perca was fined $500
after the 29-year-old Vancouver
man pleaded guilty to theft under
$1,000 in connection with a Nov.
24, 1988 incident in which a leather
jacket was stolen from Jack Fraser
Men's Wear.

Before Judge J.K. Shaw in North
Vancouver provincial court on
March 13:

Dilawar Pamir received a condi-
tional discharge and was placed on
probation for one year after the
43-year-old Vancouver man plead-
ed guilty co theft under $1,000 in
connection with a Jan. 30 theft of
merchandise from Save-On-Foods,

Chester Kelso was fined $50
after the 27-year-old North Van-
couver man pleaded guilty to fail-
ing to appear for a scheduled court
date.

Russell John Hennessey was fin-
ed $50 after the 22-year-old North
Vancouver man pleaded guilty to
failing to appear for a scheduled
court date.

Before Judge J.K. Shaw in North
Vancouver provincial court on
March 9:

John Stern received a condi-
tional discharge and was placed on
probation for six months after the
19-year-old Vancouver man was
found guilty of assaulting another
male.

Before Judge J.B. Paradis in
North Vancouver provincial court
on March 8:

Wayne Simon Cursley was fined
$200 after the 19-year-old
Nanaimo man pleaded guilty to
failing to complete 50 hours of
community work service.

Christopher Lowden and Randy
Wanek, both 18 and both of North
Vancouver, were fined $750 and
$400, respectively, after the two
pleaded guilty to charges of
Possessing marijuana and
psilocybin in connection with Oct.
17, 1988 drug seizures.

Before Judge 2.D. Grandison in
West Vancouver provincial court
on March 7:

Mike Wilson was sentenced to
one day in jail after the 40-year-old
White Rock man pleaded guilty to
one count of theft under $1,000 in

ty on two counts of theft under
$1,000 in connection with Jan. 2,
1988 incidents in which a dress and
money were stolen from the Bay.

North Vancouver provincial court
on March 7:

Andrew Charles Diotte was fin-
ed $150 and placed on probation
for six months after the 23-year-
old North Vancouver man pleaded
guilty to theft under $1,000 in
connection with a Jan. 17 incident
in which two steaks were stolen

Mark Gregory Snowsel! was fin-
ed $400 after the 25-year-old North
Vancouver man was found guilty
of operating a motor vehicle
without valid insurance in connec-
tion with an Aug. 18, 1988 inci-
dent.
