Realtors to fight MS with carnations

IN NORTH and West
Vancouver, on May 6 and 7,
members of the Real Estate
Board of Greater Vancouver
will be exchanging their “For
Sale” signs for bunches of
red, pink, and white silk
carnations, which they'll be
offering to the public for
donations to the Multiple
Sclerosis Society of Canada.
The occasion is Carnation
Day. the MS Society’s an-
nual fund-raising drive

against the mysterious
disease which afflicts the
central nervous system of
young adults.

The fight against MS is a
special project of the
members of the Real Estate
Board. Pam Horton, the
Society’s representative in
North Vancouver (987-6958)
and herself a victim of MS,
will be working closely with
representatives from Mitten
Realty, and Macaulay

Wife of veteran
publisher passes
away in West Van

LONGTIME West Van-
couver resident Charlotte
Carol Suraight died suddenly
April 29 of an apparent heart
attack at the age of 69.

The wife of Harold (Hal)
Straight, veteran Vancouver
newspaperman and former
publisher of the North Shore
Cinzen, she was born in
Vancouver and had lived in
West Van since 1951.

A charter member of the
