So it was they ended up in suburban North Vancouver, filming among the trees of the little wood at the end of the cul-de-sac at the 1800 block Bowser Avenue. Much of the afternoon saw cameraman Doug McKay, formerly of West Van- couver, and lighting gaffer Geordie Tocher, still from there. waiting around with the rest of the crew while our feels Cult ona emerging from the trees in darkness, transmutating back to normal as the sun comes up. A lot of work for a short scene - but also a lot of fun for the crew, which has been consistent during the making of the entire movie. As Tocher says: “It was made by a lot of us just for the pleasure of making a film. The fact that it’s also being received with a certain amount of success is a bonus. “It’s amazing that for that kind of money you can end up having a pleasing film. Ive spoken to they've had their friend the butcher went through progressive changes in special-effects makeup - six in all - until he was left with a hideously contorted face and only one eye, with the camera recording each stage of change. Darkness closed in on the final scene, which fitted the plans of the movie crew perfectly. The scenes will be added to the movie in reverse order so it appears the radiation- contaminated butcher is money's worth - and that’s what counts.” As for why it’s been well received, Tocher has his own explanation. “It doesn't pretend to be anything it isn't. It's genuine and unpretentious - hokey is probably the word for it. Hokiness has its place in these days of slick Star Wars films. Any time anybody spots a fault in a production it gives them a feeling of superiority - and that’s what this film’s about.” to seizures ROCHESTER, Minn. (UPI) — Mayo Clinic neurologists say the video game Pac-Man has touched off epileptic seizures in two 15-year-old boys in the past six months, the first cases of their kind reported in the United States. Two similar incidents have been reported in England. Drs. Donald Klass and James Mellinger said Thursday the rate at which light flickered on the screens was the apparent cause of the seizures. Both boys were treated at the Rochester clinic. The doctors said one of the boys treated at Mayo had been playing video games for a year before the first in- dication of epilepsy ap- peared. The youth became dazed and one of his hands twitched while he was playing Combat.
