Darkroom wrapped up
the first league title of
the newly formed
North Shore Industrial
Soccer League Sunday,
dropping the North
Shore News, 5 - 1. The
Darkroom, actually
clinced first place last
Thursday night when
they defeated Fagen's
Den 4 - 1 in a make-up
game.

Darkroom winger Ken
Deas won the first scoring
tithe as he wound up with 13
goals, six of which came in
his final two games to move
him from fourth to top spot
Deas could not have won the
utle however, without some
help from the NEWS.

Ten of Deas’ 13 goals
came in his team’s two
victories over the NEWS, in
which he scored six in an 8 -
1 rout and the four he
notched on Sunday's 5 - 1
win.

On Thursday, Deas paced
the Darkroom with a pair of
goals against the Den. Mark
Haston and Doug Tyson
handled the rest of the
scoring. Bert Anderson
scored for Fagens to ruin the
shutout.

while the La Belle Sole upset
the District Firemen 2 - 1 in
probably the roughest game
of the season.
