Activities will include face painting, cookie decorating, and a hotdog barbecue coordinated by Peppi’s restaurant. Also performing will be the Windsor School Band, Freddy Fuddpucker, and the Swing Time Dancers. in addition celebrities Pamela Martin, News columnist Joy Met- caife and Daniel Izzard will be on hand to paint T-shirts, which will be available for sale during a silent auction. Representatives from United Way-funded agencies will be in at- tendance offering assistance and providing information about the vital programs and services avail- able on the North Shore. Salmonid society hosts cyclists THE SEYMOUR Salmonid Society is hosting its second annual Seymour Salmon Cycle to raise funds to increase sal- mon and trout stocks in B.C. The event is scheduled to take place on Sunday, Sept. 27, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Seymour Demonstration Forest at the north end of Lillooet Road. The Seymour Salmon Cycle is a 22-kilometre rcund-trip Rice Lake parking lot in North Vancouver District and con- tinues along Lillooet Road to the Seymour Dam, then back to the starting point at Rice Lake. A $5 registration fee entitles participants to a tasty salmon barbecue and guided tours of the Seymour Salmon Hatchery and Rice Lake.
