Gardening Tips

Sow peas, lettuce and carrot seeds at intervals
of 10 days to ensure a constant supply.

Anyone lucky enough to have raspberries in
this area, should tie them firmly naw fo a tall
stake or wire so they don’t fall over later when

heavy with fruit.

Sprinkle a layer of ashes from your fireplace
around perennials such as hosta and bleeding
heart to discourage the slugs. Crushed egg
shells also works the same wy.

Sow seeds indoors for tomatoes, cucumbers,
peppers and melons in individual pots. Sow 2
or 3 in each pot and pinch out the weakest.
