4 - Sunday, January 14, 1996 - North Shore News Socialist supren Dou Collins IT’S NOW certain that the new leader of the worst gov- ernment we’ve had in 20 years will be a sneering, arrogant, left-wing authori- tarian. Where Mike Harcourt was a bumbling but dangerous fool, Glen Clark is the socialist supreme. And twice the menace. This is the guy who regards the private sector as The Enemy. During the last election he promised to “make the corporations pay.” Which he did. He is still talking that way, As finance minister he was a dis- _ aster and was dumped. His motto was “tax and spend.” In total, we have got $2-billion in new taxation and another $7-bil- lion in debt. And the public service unions prospered: 15% for the hos- pital employees and handouts to government workers that were twice what the private sector was getting. As B.C, Federation of Labor man Ken Georgetti stated four years ago, “Mike Harcourt is a great friend of labor.” True. But Clark is an even greater friend. _. ‘On the night he announced his leadership bid, this political snake- oil salesman claimed he was “a fis- cal conservative.” if he’s a tiscal conservative, I’m a Hindu. “fn the Vancouver Island highway « job he said he would “shovel money off the back of a truck.” And he has done‘so. A billion dollars’ worth. __. He is seen'as “minister of every- thing” and has ¢ his hand i in every -pie. ‘A republican at heart, like most leftists, he made sure that the new ferries were “spirits” of this and that! not “queens.” But that’s small stuffy. ° The bigger stuff is that he and © on the other hand the rest of his gang are social engi- neers who think they know what's best for the peasants. He was all in favor of the anti- free speech law known as Bill 33, along with his little helper on the North Shore, David Schreck. Plus Bill 28, the election gag law that restricts spending by inde- pendent groups but allows unions to donate as much labor as they like to the NDP cause. Plus Bill 32, which allows the Human Rights Gestapo to search company premises for evidence of politically incorrect “wrong-doing.” Anti-white discrimination in hir- ing has reared its racist head right through the public service. with minority quotas disguised as “tar- gets.” If Clark and the NDP get back in, expect the same thing in the pri- vate sector, that being the main aim of Bill 32. Times are tough and are going tc be even tougher for you, young white man. The multicults are way ahead of you. . Other socialist joys litter the landscape like poisonous patty- cakes. The welfare system has boomed and B.C. became the most attractive place in the country for bums. With top rates. The ethically challenged Moe Sihota was found to be unfit to practise law but was fit enough to be reinstated as a minister of the Crown. Which was fine with Clark and all the rest of them. If they are re- elected expect Sihota to be given a bigger portfolio. To appease the Greenpeacers. thousands of forest jobs have been lost. Clark, the workers’ friend, backed that: also the killing of Kemano II. Same-sex “spousal” benefits have been slipped into the program and the NDP is the preferred party of the pansies. Then there was “Bingogate,” the biggest scandal of all. . Clark says he’s going to “do something” about that, but won't say what. Don’t hold your breath. The fat jobs the NDP has given to its cronies would make a fist that would fill this page. So much for its phoity pre-election stance on merit. The word “shame” is not in their dictionary. The deputy attorney general, Marxist Maureen Maloney, is on the record as objecting to “white cultural hegemony” in the law schools. She thinks private property is sinful and if-she had her way you wouldn't be able to leave your house to your kids. The NDP is dedicated to hand- ing over huge tracts of the province to the Indians. But what else do you - expect from it? This disgusting crew could slip back into office between the Liberals and Reform. But we get the governments we deserve. British Columbians deserved plenty when they elected the NDP. And got plenty. intermingled sperm tough cali f or accept ‘ “money or con- ion of any kind in respect of; : procuring or assisting in procuring a child for adoption.” An offence: under this section of “the act carries a ‘maximum penalty of $10,000. .
