Monslay, Aug. 15: Culturalwealth
°94 takes place at the Plaza of
Nations, 750 Pacific Blvd. S.,

Vancouver. A B.C. apparel industry
salute to the Commonwealth
Games, the event showcases the
work of 13 of the province's leading
designers: Zonda Nellis, Poorboy,
Scandolari, Limbo, Neto, Jax,
Virani, Jacqueline Conoir,
Cinema, Catherine Regehr,
Christine & Co..and First Nations
designers Dorothy Grant and
Karen Fletcher-Stringer. A run-
way-style show will be preceded by
a Westin Bayshore-catered dinner
and the presentation of the 16th
annual Industry Tribute Award and
the Yvon Bourgeois Foundation
scholarships for students of fashion,
hair and cosmetology. Proceeds

from the event wil! benefit the foun-
dation for future scholarships. For
tickets, $150 each or ‘$1,200 for a

Symphony Orchestra (VSO) holds
its second annual fashion show to
premier the fall lines for Versus,
Istante, Versace Sport, Versatile and
Versace Jeans Couture. The event,
with an auction, live dancing, and
performance by a VSO ensemble,
takes place at 7 p.m. in the B.C.
Ballroom of the Hotel Vancouver.
