Ferry afloat

B.C. Ferry's second PacifiCat floated on its own for the first
time Tuesday. After a morning christening ceremony, the dry-
dock was moved away from the shore and fowered into the
water. The fast ferry program has come under fire when it was
revealed, on the same day, that B.C. Ferry’s debt will rise to $1.7
billion in five years, in large part because of the program.
