What made you want to get into
this line of work?: ‘‘I’ve always
liked drawing and it just stuck
with me."’

What do you think of Prince
Chartes’ interest in historical and
heritage buildings?: ‘‘Prince
Charles is a very conservative per-
son. He likes architecture and
doesn't want them (heritage build-
ings) spoiled. 1 don’t think there
should be foreign bodies cast into
sculptures."” .

Why did you write the book
Sacred Places?: ‘‘I've always been
interested in history. The 1980's
had a historical revival. As ar-
chitects, we tend to always go to
Europe to sce historical buildings.
