NORTH SHORE NEWS SAILING RACE SUNDAY

ALL ABOARD Sunday for the biggest fun event
in the Lower Mainland sailing calendar.

For the fifth year in
succession entrants in the
annual North Shore News
Sailing Race will jockey for
position on the starting line
off Dundarave Pier, West
Vancouver, between 9 and
10 a.m. June 20.

The race -- open to ail
cruising sailboats (but no
spinnakers or bloopers,
please) — follows a course
from Dundarave to the Point
Atkinson lighthouse, thence
across the bay to the Point
Grey bell buoy and _ back

south of the centre channel | indicate that this year’s total

to the finish line off Kitsilano
Yacht Club.

Official ending tme of the
race is 3 p.m., though
winners in earlier events
have clocked in up to two
hours before that.

Entries in previous years
have run between 60 and 70,
and entries received to date

will equal or surpass that
