PAIR OF BIG WINS

Blues aiming
for the top

CAP COLLEGE Blues men’s basketball team
ran their season record to 10 and one over the
weekend with a pair of blow-outs against Cariboo
College of Kamloops at Delbrook gym.

On Friday, the locals
thumped Cariboo 78-42
behind the 16 points of Mike
Hind and 14 by Tim Mills.

Saturday didn’t mean any
improvement for the
visitors. Down 46-19 at the
half, the boys from
Kamloops never came close,
dropping an almost identical
78-46 score to the North
Shore School.

they take on the number one
ranked college in Canada,
Vancouver Community
College in Vancouver.

VCC boasts a 11-0 record
and are the only club to
knock off Cap Blues early in
the season.

Meanwhile, the women
ran their season record to
five and two with a split
against the Kamloops
school, dropping Cariboo
65-60 in overtime Friday
night with Diane Olsen
notching 22 and Leah Ellis
20. But the Saturday af-
ternoon game was a turn-
around with Cariboo taking
a 59-50 win with Leah Ellis
“scoring 2t points for the
Blues.

the men’s Blues return to the
confines of Delbrook gym
for a Saturday afternoon
clash at 2 p.m. against Red
Deer College of Alberta in
an exhibition contest.

Both the men and
women’s teams have three
league games left before
season ends.
