Each Storytime lasts about half an hour, and gives children between the ages of three and five a chance to hear a variety of stories chosen especially for them: everything from old favourite picture-books and fairy tales to brand new stones by up-and-coming writers for children. Each Storytime is a programme in itself, and may feature a special theme and include music, games, fingerplays, feltboard stones or a chance for “audience participation”. Storytime is both the perfect way to introduce young children to books and an opportunity to involve them in a_ group acuity.
