The Spring sessions of
Storytime for Preschoolers
begin soon at all branches of
North Vancouver District
Library. Each Storytime
lasts about half an hour, and
gives children between the
ages of three and five a
chance to hear a variety of
stories chosen especially for
them: everything from old
favourite picture-books and
fairy tales to brand new
stones by up-and-coming
writers for children.

Each Storytime is a
programme in itself, and
may feature a special theme
and include music, games,
fingerplays, feltboard stones
or a chance for “audience
participation”. Storytime is
both the perfect way to
introduce young children to
books and an opportunity to
involve them in a_ group
acuity.

The sessions begin at
Capilano Library at 10 a.m.
on January 20 and continue
eveyr Wednesday. Lynn
Valley's Storyume will be on
Thursdays at 10.) from
