. Al‘ - Sunday News, July 26, 1981 One of the best known faces seen daily in West Vancouver streets, Bylaws Supervisor Lioyd Taylor, died suddenly Monday, at the age of 51. During his four years in the West Vancouver bylaws office, Mr. Taylor became a popular figure in the. community, known for his dedication and patience in his handling of the job. He was appointed bylaws supervisor in April 1979. A . replacement has not yet been found to head the four- person bylaws department and police officials feel it will be difficult to match the dedication of Mr. Taylor. Staff Sergeant Jack Ross comments: “He was ex- cellent as a bvlaws super- visor—dedicated and thorough. -He had a very easy going manner and related well to the public. “He did an excellent job of everything he touched and was an all round good guy.” Many members of West Vancouver Police Depart- ment were expected to be present at the funeral service last Thursday. Cremation was at the Forest Lawn Memorial Funeral Centre, in Burnaby. , Mr. Taylor is survived by his wife, Laura, his son Jeffrey, daughter Mrs. - J. (Shiela) Gregor and brother Elmer. Family requested donations to the B.C.
