In Babe Ruth baseball action for 14-15 year olds over the weekend Parfitt posted an 11-9 win over Eagles at Mahon Park. Eagles outhit Parfitt 17-15 but were unable to get more runs across the plate. North Shore Credit Union downed Kingcraft 6-0 behind a homerun by Dave Tyson. In 13 year old prep league action Legion came up with a big 15-8 win over Bancorp while Davies downed B.A. Blacktop 10-6. Gerry Lowe and Fault Walder each came up with four baggers for the winners at Kinsmen. In a game place last Friday Davies did in Bancorp 13-7 with Fault Walder picking up a homerun along with Shawn Reilly who pitched Davies to the win with 14 strike outs. Burdett Construction came up with a pair of wins against Dodgers on Sunday in Squamish with 8-0 and 13- 4 scores in a 16-18 league match-up while at Mahon Midas overwhelmed Pirates 22-3. Midas came on strong in the first inning bombarding Pirates with 15 runs. Swim before summer The North Vancouver Recreation Centre, located at the corner of 23rd Street and Lonsdale, will com- mence its last series of swim lessons before summer, the week of May 12th.
