majority of Liberal MP’s
would like to shorten their
own working week to four
days and eliminate eveping
sittings, but opposition
members insisted last week
there was too much work to
be done. :

Government House leader
Yvon Pinard proposed that
the daily question period be
moved from its regular
starting time of 2 p.m. to 9
a.m. or 10 a.m., allowing the
three weekly night sittings to
be cancelled.

Some evenings would be
given over to committee
Sittings and the extra day off
could be spent by members
in their home ridings. '
