The committee felt these functions were beyond the scope of the Association. Instead, it recommended the Bar and the Law Society monitor plans which might be offered by such groups as credjt unions, trade unions, professional associations, or insurance companies. Monitoring would apply to ensure that such features as the traditional = solicitor- client.relationship would be preserved under the plans. The committee drafted a model plan which, if finally approved, would carry the Association's blessing as a Bar-approved plan.
