mas Vancouver Carlier this year, West Vancouver Council approved a Bw initiative to support the local business associa- tions in the decoration of our streets during the Christmas holiday season. Street, tree and lamp post lighting has been used in the past but much of this decoration has worn out. In addition, the tree at the corner of Marine Drive and 13th Strect, lighted in the past few years, did not have a reli- able and adequate power source. In the past, all costs have been borne by the business associations. Council has decided to pay the full cost of a new electrical supply at Marine Drive and 13th Street. In addition the District will fund 50% of the costs of new inszallations in Ambleside, Dundarave and Horseshoe Bay. The Ambleside decoration will be lighted wreaths on the turquoise lamp posts on Bellevue Avenue and Marine Drive.
