Seniors Games in Kelowna. Allan took top spot in three cycling events — the 70-74 men's hill climb (9:10); time trial (27:10); and road race (1:21.00) — at the Games, held Sept. 6-9. North Shore swimmers also did a lot of damage at the Games. North Vancouver’s Joan Parnell cleaned up with 10 medals — eight gold and a pair of silver — while Ron Gilchrist, also of North Van, struck for eight medals — three gold, four silver and a bronze.
