Course to dispel
myths about wine

TO DISPEL the myths and snob-
bery that so often surround wi ie is
just one of the goals of a wine ap-
preciation seminar offered at
Delbrook Community Centre.
Participants will learn how to
select, buy, store, serve and taste
wine and also some simple rules
for ordering wine in restaurants.
Instructor Ted Appleby is a
member of the International Socie-
ty of Wine Educators. He will of-

fer two seminars, The first, in wine
appreciation, will take place on
Tuesday, Sept. 15.

The second course, which looks
at matching wine with food, will
take place Wednesday, Sept. 23.

Both courses happen at
Detbrook Community Centre, 600
West Queens Rd., in North Van-
