Finish times could range from anywhere between 3-6 hours, depending on the “team’s pace and route selec- tion. Routes can range from: “under 20 km for beginners to just under 50 kin for elites. The beginner division is geared toward families, corpo- rate teams and kids age 12 and *_up. The “wilderness fin run” “style short-course will include a paddling Segment, an casy- level mountain biking course, hiki ing and a series of * ‘mystery tests.” Intermediates follow much the same course as beginners but have a more advanced bik ing leg which involves climb- ing and single and doubletrack rm’ sections. Intermediate “mys- tery tests” will be more chal- lenging: but will require no ~ specialized skills. Elites, meanwhile, will have to paddle farther, trek longer and face some steeper climbs as they strive to meet their goal. Basic compass skills and a har- ness are required. On race day, teams will check in at Lyna Canvon Park at 8 a.m. and depart on a bus for the siart line at 9:30 a.m. The race begins one hour later and the cutoff time for all teams to finish storming is 5 p.m. A post-race awards recep- tien is planned for 7 p.m. The entry fee-for all cate- gories is $48 per person before Oct. 1 and $55 after that.
