The Victoria Golf &
Country Club member is the
defending champion, beating
Calgary’s Bob McGrath in
the championship final at last
year’s inaugural event.

Other notables taking part
in the five day tournament —-
yesterday through Sunday —
include MeGrath and reign-
ing Canadian Senior champi-
on Patrick Suraj.

North Shore golfers tak-
ing part include Philip
Chernov, Kwan Choo, David
Foster, Don Gardner, Gary
Morrison, Ramsay Poucher,
Martin Roberts, Jack Rogers
and Delmar St. John.

The format of the champi-
onship consists of 54 holes of
stroke play, followed by
match play for the top 32
golfers, The competition is
open to male amateur golfers
who have reached the age of
55 by July 7, 1998.

Highlighting fantastic competition with a
wholesome family atmosphere, Streetball is an
action-packed weekend festival for players of all
ages & abilities, male & female (9 yrs. & older).
