The North Vancouver water- front is home to the Pacific Marine Training Institute (PMTI) which is regarded by most mari- time operators in B.C. and Canada as a top-level educational facility for those studying for jobs in the maritime industry. PMTI is now hoping to expand its programs, which are geared towards students seeking employ- ment with the shipping and marine-based industries.
