The Twelfth Annuai Race The 1989 running of the Twelfth Annual North Shore News Sail- ing Race co-sponsored by CHQM, is set for Sunday Jume 18th. Racers from previous years will be familiar with the course from the start at Dundarave Pier, to a marker at Point Atkinson, to the Point Grey Bel! Buoy, to a marker set 0.7 miles south of the center channel marker, to the finish line off Kitsilano Yacht Club, a distance of approx. imately 12 miles. ___ The start will be conducted at 10:00 a.m, and the official finish time is 3:00 pm. Ceremonies and awards presentations will begin as s00N as possible after 3:00 pm. at the Pelican Bay Dining Room located in the Granville Island Hotel. __ The twelfth annual family sailing event is open to alll cruising sailboats regardless of club membership or affiliation.
