PEACE PROMOTED ~ THE BAHA’IS of North Van- - couver are hosting a special cul- tural exchange event called Peace of Art at the Centennial Theatre = May 2 to promote world peace. _ "We. have invited Chinese, African, American, Italian, Polish, "native and-Canadian performers, “as well as a group called World Citizens,’’ explained organizer Fariba Ferdowsi, who said the event promotes world peace. “Bringing all these people (of different cultures) together under one roof, why don’t we just understand other people in the world?,’’ Ferdowsi asked. The cultural exchange event is to help remove cultural barriers and lead toward a new order of world peace, one of the many goals of the Baha’i faith. ‘We believe individuals can have a role in peace,’’ Ferdowsi added further.
