announced approval of a
$5,500 grant for publication
of Capilano College’s CAPI-

LANO REVIEW. An amount
of $6,500 had been requested

to publish editions 10 and 1i,

but the request was cut by
$1,000 due to budgetary
restrictions.

The Council is the main
source of funds for the
magazine, which is also
supported by grants from the
B.C.’ Cuitural Fund, The
Capilano College Student
Society, and the Capilano
College Humanities Divi-
sion. In the last year the
magazine also received sup-
port from the LIP program
and the Leon and Thea

Koerner Foundation.

The idea of producing a
magazine at the college grew
for several years, and was
discussed in earnest in the
fall of 1971 when Pierre
Coupey put together the first
