ew form of Medica! pioneer to visit West Van Library for talk A man who bills him- self as a modern-day medical pioneer will lecture in West Vancouver on a new form of healing that combines the “essen- tial components of Western inedicine with the proven advocacy of time-honored Chinese medicine.” “Zhi Neng medicine enables you to be responsible for your health,” said Dr. Zhi Gang Sha. “It will help you balance and develop your energy to prevent illness, relieve pain, stop illness in the early stages,.and recover . faster if you are already very sick. You can develop more energy, strengthen your immune ‘system, . prolong .) your life and improve its - quality.” DR. Zhi Gang Sha will lecture on “Zhi Neng” medicine tomorrow. Sha said Zhi Neng medi- cine (pronounced = “ju nung”) is a unique combina- tion of traditional Chinese medicine, Western medicine, Qi Gong and the extraordi- nary functioning of the sens- es, Its exact translation is “intelligence and capabitities of the mind,” Sha said. Sha, 40, received his MD in China in 1983, but has been schooled in traditional Chinese practices of tai chi and acupuncture since boy- hoad. Sha said his prime focus is on redressing the flow of energy in the body and teaching people how to use their energy to heal them- selves and others. “Our brains have about 15 billion cells, but we only use 10% to 15% of them, ‘The other cells are sleeping, but there is potential for great power, We have to learn to stimulate them,” he said. Sha was formerly with the World Health Organization’s International Acupuncture and Qi Gong Training Centre in Beijing. He prac- tices in Vancouver and is the only Zhi Neng master in the Western world. Sha will speak and provide a demonstration Saturday at 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m at the West Vancouver Public Library (1950 = Marine Drive). If you have any questions about the free event, please call Sha’s office at 733-0853. Adont-A-Pamily this Christmas! The North Vancouver Christmas Bureau Needs You to Adopt-A-Family!
