By Anna Marie D'Angelo News Reporter The new bank is slated to open in August 1995, It will cover 1,170 sq. metres (13,000 sq. ft.) and include four full-service automated banking machines, “ample” parking and wheelchair access. “its a new way of doing busi- ness for us,” said CIBC spokesman Scott McCloy. The two-storey banking centre will provide a complete range of persona] and commercial banking services along with an independent business centre and the services of CIBC Trust. McCloy-said the CIBC believes the long-term outlook for diverse banking activities in the Lonsdale area is good. Meanwhile the Lonsdale Quay branch is slated to merge with the Lonsdale Avenue and 17th Street location on Jan. 20, 3995. Lower Lonsdale CIBC customers will have access to an automated banking machine and night deposit service in the azea after the branch closes. Construction of the new banking centre is slated to begin on Dec. 1.
