o What should | look for when choosing a body

A: It is very difficult for the “HS

untrained eye to tell good work
from questionable work on finished body ”
repairs. For this reason, it is best to do
some research before you commit to ;
having work done.

Ask for references. A reputable business
should be willing to give you 3 references
of satisfied customers. Check theses
references!

Look at some finished work. The new paint should match the
old paint. Gaps between the ponels that have been
repaired should be the same os the gaps on the original
body panels. Flat areas should be flat, not wavey.

Ask about a guarantee and get it in writing, two years
should be considered a minimum. The guarantee should be
clear on exactly whot is covered, specificly rust. Good
bodywork should not be any more prone to rust than the

" original metal.

Finally, if your car has been involved in a major collision,
specificly request that the frame be checked. When the
repairs have been completed, ask to see a written report on
a proper 4 wheel alignment.
