Shore focusing on seniors’ issues NORTH VANCOUVER City Council last week proclaimed the week of June 2 to 8 as Senior's Week and the councils of Narth Vancouver District and West Vancouver District are expected to do the same on Monday. To mark the occasion, the Lionsview Seniors Planning Socie- ty presented North Vancouver Ci- ty Council with a scroll last week highlighting beth the pasitive and negative aspects of living as a senior on the North Shore. Lionsview president Sheila Jones said that during the past two years the society has met with over 400 seniors in small groups. She added that problems North Shore seniors face by living on the North Shore were discussed at the meetings.
