jailed for theft

A 24-YEAR-OLD West Vancouver man was sentenced Sept. 6 in
West Vancouver provincial court to five days in jail after he plead-
ed guilty to a charge of theft under $1,000.

Darin Lewis was originally charged in connection with a July 21
incident in which a pair of sunglasses was stolen from a Park Royal

drug store.
In addition to the jail term, Lewis was placed on probation for

six months.
