THE DECISION on how much teachers in North
Vancouver District will make during this year has

gone right down to the wire.

An arbitrated decision on
the contract was expected
late Monday (after deadline
for this edition) after ar-
bitration hearings that did
not conclude until Christmas
Eve.

ow is the time to make up your mind

For our first issue of the new year, the ques-
tion is:

Teachers and the North
Vancouver school district
did not reach an agreement
on what teachers will be paid
in earlier face-to-face
negotiations, leading to the
aribtration process.

district managed to reach a
decision before the deadline
for a new contract, thereby
avoiding arbitration.
