The awards are part of STC’s annual technical com- munication —_ competitions program, which highlights the best examples of the art and science of technical com- munication. julian Woolridge received an excellence award in the Information Materials Design category for her Spectratek Customer Support Manual project. rew Lambert and Martin Nichols received an achievement award in the Fromotional Materials De- sign category for a project tiled Proheat Heaters. Both categories are part of STC’s International Tech- nical Art Competition. Each year, STC presents more than 250 awards in 58 categories. The Society for Technical Communication 1s a protes- sional organization for tech- nical writers, editors, iflustra- tors, managers and educa- tors. It is the largest profession- al organization in this field, with more than 21,000 members in 144 chapters worldwide.
