Woodward’s unveils new
look at grand opening

AFTER OFFICIALLY opening doars to Narth Shore
consumers 42 years ago, the Woodward's department store
at West Vancouver’s Park Royal Shopping Centre is set to

hold another grand opening.

The Nov. $2 event will see
expanded Woodward's store with
a new look at its Marine Drive en-
trance.

Store manager Jim Dyson said
the expansion will add 4,400
square feet to ‘he existing Wood-
ward’s store. While he declined to
say how much money the com-
pany is spending on the the ex-
pansion, Dyson said it will cost
Woodward's ‘‘close to half a mil-
lion dollars."*

“On the north side, we're going
to the edge of the overhang.
We've expanded our family
footwear and lingerie depart-
ments.””

Work on the Woodward’s ex-
pansion began in May. It is the
second expansion for the store in
the last five years.

Dyson said the latest expansion
has moved the store into the front
