CHILDREN’S FASHION is
becoming more and more interest-
ing and important to designers of
women’s clothing worldwide.

Already, Armani, Beretta,
Cacharel, Hechter, Rykiel, Valen-
tino and many others have signed
their names to collections for fash-
ionable children.

Now, well known Canadian de-
signer Michel Robichaud is ready
to launch his first collection for the
younger set.

The Robichaud collection for
fall/winter °89/°90 echoes the de-
signer’s feeling for fashion: timely,
spontaneous, happy and versatile.

The clothes are modern yet ele-
gant, and as comfortable and
practical as they are fashionable.

It is clearly evident that boys will
be boys and girls, girls.

Clothing is made of flannel, -

tweed and corduroy.

For true dress-up days and even-
ings, the richness of velours,
crepes, taffetas and laces, as well
as the sparkle of lames and moires,
are more appropriate.

Colors range from cherry red,
apple green, white and ivory.

eyes open and look straight into
the mirror. (You won’t want to
pull down or stretch the delicate
skin around the eye while applying
liner.)

® Don’t swoop the line up at the
end — this is not flattering.

to line the lower lid.

© Line the eyes and then blend
well, so that the eyes seem unlined.

© To make the whites of your
eyes look whiter and brighter, use
a blue eyeliner pencil on the inside
rim of the eye.

° When using an eye pencil to
line the eye, make sure it is
sharpened (but not too sharp) so
that you get an even, well-defined
line. You can soften the tip of an
eyeliner pencil by running it
through hot water or holding it be-
tween your fingers. Pencils are
wonderful to use to rim the inner
eye.
© Eyeshadow is great to use as
an eyeliner. With a fine tipped
brush, blend a little water into a
dark eyeshadow then line the eye.

* The most versatile colors of
eyeliner are shades of browns,
taupes and charcoal. Black is
usually too harsh or severe.
