Mailbox AIDS threat to all Dear Editor: It surprises me that a paper like the North Shore News would stoop so low and print an article like “Aids just God’s Botch’’ by Doug Collins, That such a bigot dures to use God's name is beyond me. This man surely shows his ignorance. There are women and children dying of AIDS as well as gay and bisexual men. His use of the word homo surely tells all of your readers what type of person he is. In Central Africa, in places like Zaire, one third of hospital beds are taken up by people with Aids, more than 50% of them women and children. This type of reporting is dangerous to all of us. Dear Editor: It would seem Doug Col- lins is either a piker or without conviction of his own statements. He is sen- ding $25 to help Keegstra with his defence trial. It was not too long ago that Mr. Collins sat smugly in his West Vancouver home telling old age pensioners they should not be upset by the government’s plan to de-index their pensions. No doubt Mr. Collins has a few bucks set aside, so his con- tribution of only $25 is not in keeping with his financial Status, It could also be that Mr. Collins considers this a token gesture and does not believe all the stuff he writes about. 1 prefer to support the recognized charities.
