R.C.M.P. stopped a

hang glider coming into
Canada last week
because they weren't
sure how to classify it.

But hang gliding is rapidly
catching on and in the last
five years has managed to
shed its reputation of being a

dangerous pasttime for the
foolhardy and the suicide-
bent. .

It is dangerous, its,
proponents admit,. but. no
more so than parachuting,
mountain climbing or stock
car racing. Maybe even less
dangerous, if you have the
proper equipment and know
the basic rules of the sport.
