Lynnterm and Seaboard ship lumber products around the world LUMBER TERMINALS: @ Lynnterm: The Lynnterm forest products terminal, which is owned by the Vancouver Port Corp. (VPC) and operated by Western Stevedoring Co., first came to the North Vancouver waterfront next to Dow Chemicals in 1977 and has since gone through a series of expansions. While the lumber market is depressed right now, Lynnterm continues to experience growth. A large part is due to a strong mar- ket in woodpulp. The terminal's current plans in- clude expanding its existing berth face towards the west and the construction of a new warehouse to hold forest products. The warehouse, which will be the third warchouse on the site, will be 215,000 square feet (19,974 sq. m1) in area, bringing the total area of all three forest product warehouses to 550,000 square feet (51,095 sq. m). © Seaboard Shipping Co.
