the draft Lynn Valley
Area Plan being put
together by North
Vancouver District.

The North Vancouver
District Heritage Advisory
Committee has worked with
the Lynn Valley Community
Planning team to come up
with a plan to:

@ retain the Nve House and
its land for future public use;
WB preserve heritage resources
in the town centre (such as
the Fromme Block);

@ provide incentives to own-

ers and developers to pre-
serve heritage buildings and
tandscapes in Lynn Valley as
part of any redevelopment
Proposal;
@ develop a comprehensive
and balanced heritage con-
servation program to ensure
significant and representative
heritage resources of the
Lynn Valley area will be con-
served;
@ create an architectural
theme for the town centre
which reflects the communi-
ty’s heritage.

A final area plan for Lynn
Valley has yet to be imple-
mented.
